Gunther Introduces New System at Xplor 2002 – Series W

Friday, October 25, 2002

Press release from the issuing company

Anaheim, CA, October 24. Gunther International (Nasdaq: SORT.OB), a leading manufacturer of software-driven, automated mailing systems, is introducing a revolutionary system, Series W, at Xplor 2002. To introduce its new system, a formal pres conference will be held at the Gunther booth (1001) on Tuesday, October 29, at 9:45 a.m. In addition, several daily demonstrations of the quick changeover between dramatically different applications are scheduled. Kevin Craine (author Designing a Document Strategy, editor Document Processing Technology magazine) notes: "It’s not just ‘speeds and feeds’ any more. Shop managers must be able to process a variety of materials efficiently while at the same time effectively ensure the integrity of the mail pieces that flow across the floor. It has become increasingly important to build an infrastructure that offers both efficient and versatile production as well as a high level of mail piece tracking and integrity." "With the Series W, Gunther has taken folded mail finishing to a new level of efficiency and versatility. No other system in the world can come close to running the variety of applications available on the Series W, and with easy changeovers," said Marc Perkins, CEO, Gunther International. "This is the future of inserting." The Gunther Series W is a high-speed folded mail system that is fully adjustable. It readily accommodates an extensive range of folded applications; handling paper from 6.5" to 11" in width and up to 14" in length, and envelopes from monarch to bankers. "The Series W culminates 20 years of Gunther listening to its customers. It allows the end-user to handle a wide range of paper, inserts, and envelopes with one system; productivity is increased dramatically." Said Ted Langevin, Sr. Vice-President, Design and Manufacturing, Gunther International.
