Headley Brothers Signs Deal for Printcafe Hagen OA System

Press release from the issuing company

New deal the latest in a series of sales of Hagen OA outside North America WINDSOR, BERKS, (October 3rd 2002) -- Printcafe Software, Inc., the operating system for print(TM), today announced that Headley Brothers of Kent, England has licensed the Printcafe Hagen OA print management system, the latest in a series of sales of the system outside North America. Hagen OA was first introduced into Europe at IPEX in April 2002, having been rewritten with multi-language, multi-currency functionality to meet the needs of the European print market. "We spent many years searching for a management information system, so it was a refreshing change to see a new system in the market which met all our requirements, said Jon Pitt, Commercial Director at Headley Brothers. "With Hagen we can now replace the disparate systems in our facility with one integrated system, which will eliminate double entry, and our production staff can access accurate information at any stages of a job." "Until Printcafe launched Hagen in the UK at Ipex, printers like Headley Brothers had a limited choice of mostly indigenous management systems," said Robert Berkeley, Managing Director of Printcafe Europe. "Hagen as it stands is mature and robust with hundreds of users worldwide, and Headley Brothers could see where we are heading as a company, with Hagen at the heart of a computer integrated manufacturing network." "Printcafe has a long track record of supplying management information systems and we feel comfortable that Hagen will adapt to Headley's changing needs in the future," added Pitt. "We've already seen evidence of Printcafe's commitment to JDF through their integration with Creo and we look forward to working with Printcafe in the future to integrate our entire workflow and seeing the efficiencies that this will bring to our operation." Printcafe's print management systems, including PSI, Hagen, and Logic, serve as the foundation of a printer's business management information system. Add-on modules, such as Printcafe PrintFlow(TM) for dynamic scheduling, Printcafe Auto-Count® for shop floor data collection and Printcafe PrinterSite, extend the information network to the shop floor and to the sales force. Headley Brothers join leading printers in France and the Caribbean who have signed up for the multi-language version of Hagen since its launch at IPEX in April.
