Arcar Graphics Introduces ULTRAFORCE Ink System

Press release from the issuing company

Unique, high-strength ink system performs on paper and film ANN ARBOR, MI (September 13, 2002) -- Arcar Graphics, a division of Flint Ink North America's Packaging Group, introduces ULTRAFORCE ink system, a high-strength, multi-purpose, waterbased flexographic ink system created for narrow web converters. The new ink system is ideal for tags and regular and pressure sensitive labels for beverage, personal care, cosmetic, toy, and retail shopping bag applications. ULTRAFORCE ink system is one of several new advanced narrow web ink systems presented by Arcar Graphics at Labelexpo Americas 2002 in the Flint Ink booth #817. Until now printers needed different ink systems for film and paper labels. ULTRAFORCE ink system is uniquely formulated for exceptional strength, delivering excellent print quality on both film and paper. ULTRAFORCE ink's high strength also allows printers to operate with finer anilox rollers and achieve crisp, high-definition images. Additionally, the system's high-strength feature means printers use less ink and reduce ink inventory. "ULTRAFORCE ink's strength, versatility, press performance and color characteristics make it the choice for converters who want one water-based ink system that consistently performs on paper and film labels."says Mike Harjung, Vice President and General Manager, Arcar Graphics. "ULTRAFORCE ink systems offer printers exceptional value when a manufacturer requests identical graphics on both substrates." Renaissance Mark (Plant City, FL) is using ULTRAFORCE ink systems to print 4-color process personal care and food and beverage labels. "This is the way an ink system should be,"says Greg Jenkins, Head Pressman. "It's a very fluid system that works great on our fine anilox rollers and gives us nice solid dots. Plus we just pour it in the fountain and run it. It's totally carefree." A highly stable, low maintenance ink system, printers can simply pour ULTRAFORCE ink into the fountain and run at speeds up to 300 fpm, optimizing performance and eliminating downtime often required to doctor less stable inks. The ULTRAFORCE system's excellent rewetting capability also supports longer runs. New ULTRAFORCE ink systems are available in all Pantone base colors. Arcar Graphics was purchased by Flint Ink in 2000 and specializes in waterbased and energy curable ink systems. The company has eight locations throughout the United States that enable it to provide rapid technical services and fast product delivery.
