dsicmm acquires Emeness group

Press release from the issuing company

Customer communications specialists, dsicmm group has marked the latest stage in its strategic growth plan with the acquisition of the Emeness group of companies.  dsicmm embarked on its combined organic and acquisition-based development strategy some four years ago, and over that period has grown the company through initiatives such as the foundation of its international mail business, and through the acquisition of high quality companies such as K2, and most recently, the Emeness group.  dsicmm group now has an annual turnover of over £120 million.

Emeness is a B1 Litho Printing and associated services business based in the Olympic Zone, Stratford, East London.  dsicmm’s acquisition of Emeness is the fruit of a year’s negotiation and due diligence, and was concluded on 24th December 2008.  The company had for some years acted as a strategic partner of dsicmm on a number of major accounts.  The acquisition of Emeness not only brings an enviable client base to dsicmm, plus a highly skilled workforce, but also adds capacity and key technology capabilities to the company’s Dagenham production centre, where the Emeness business will be consolidated into dsicmm’s infrastructure.

Yolanda Noble, Chief Executive of dsicmm, comments, “Our strategic goal to become the top print and communications company in the country has now passed another key milestone with the Emeness acquisition.  We are remaining faithful to our original strategy, despite the challenging economic environment, acquiring vibrant, innovative companies with proven expertise, quality services and strong customer relationships.”

“Of course, any acquisition strategy inevitably involves a level of restructuring and consolidation of corporate functions.  There is often also a need to match the required skill set of the staff to the rapidly developing market profile of the print and communications industry, resulting in some staff changes.  However, any such changes resulting from the Emeness acquisition are minimal, as the company is strong in its markets, and brings important skills and capabilities to dsicmm in its strategic growth plan.”
