Komori America Secures Four Orders for the New Lithrone S40 Presses

(July 18, 2002 Rolling Meadows, IL) Komori America Corporation announced today that four orders have been placed for the new Lithrone S40 presses. The Lithrone S40, the newest product in the Lithrone family of sheetfed offset presses, was introduced to the US market this month. The revolutionary new Lithrone S, features new enhancements and features that increase flexibility and productivity through data-driven makeready, advanced quality control, and a higher running speed. The new LS can also accommodate stock thicknesses up to 40 point board. Orders were taken for two six color and one eight color Lithrone S40. Presses will be installed by the end of the year. In addition, an order for a six color Lithrone S40D was also placed. The S40D is the only 40" digital offset press on the market. Equipped with the Creo SQUAREspot thermal imaging technology, the S40D offers the process control, workflow efficiency and fast makeready required to meet print buyers’ demands for shorter run jobs, faster turnaround and high quality printing.
