R.R. Donnelley Chairman, William Davis, Will Receive NYU Prism Award

NEW YORK, February 27, 2002 — William L. Davis, Chairman and CEO of R.R. Donnelley & Sons Company, has been named the recipient of the 2002 Prism Award. The prestigious award is presented annually by New York University in recognition of distinguished leadership in the graphic arts and communications industry. Sponsored by the University's Center for Graphic Communications Management and Technology, the 2002 Prism Award will be presented to Mr. Davis by Daniel B. Brewster, Jr., President and Chief Executive Officer of Gruner + Jahr USA Publishing, at the 17th Annual Prism Award Luncheon on Monday, June 3rd at The Plaza Hotel in New York City. Mr. Brewster is Chairman of this year's event. Previous Prism Award honorees have included Janet L. Robinson, President and General Manager of The New York Times; George M.C. Fisher, former Chairman, President and CEO of Eastman Kodak; and the late Katharine Graham, Chairman of the Executive Committee and former CEO of The Washington Post. Henri Dyner, President and CEO of Sun Chemical Corporation, received the 2001 Prism Award. Proceeds from the annual Prism Award Luncheon are used to fund scholarships for New York University’s internationally renowned Graphic Communications Program, which offers graduate and undergraduate courses to prepare the next generation of industry leaders. Tickets for the Prism Award Luncheon on June 3rd are available from $500 per person to $5,000 for a sponsor’s table of ten, and $7,000 for a co-chairmanship (which includes a dais seat as well as a table of ten).
