Equipment Increases School District Book Production by 200%

PORTLAND, OR - January 11, 2002 -- LDR International (http://www.LDR.com) today announced that their recent sale and installation of a Standard Horizon SpeedVAC 100 at the Salem/Keizer Public School District in Salem, Oregon, has increased book production by 200%. The Salem/Keizer Public School District used to produce from 1500 to 1800 books per hour on their older model Standard Horizon MC80 machine. Their recent purchase and installation of the SpeedVAC 100 has increased production to over 3000 books per hour. The SpeedVAC 100 has also increased their minimum/maximum size range of media they can print on: from as small as CD format to as large as calendar format printing is now available to them with the newer model SpeedVAC 100. In addition to the Standard Horizon SpeedVAC 100, the school district also purchased a HMU 100, two VAC 100 towers, an ST 40 offsetting stacker, an SPF 20A stitcher with FC trimmer.
