Free Upgrade includes Job Approval System. Aurora, IL, December 06, 2001 - Version 8 of PagePath Technologies' MyOrderDesk online toolkit for print pros has been released. In addition to improvements to the existing PDF2U(tm) and ezMerge(tm) components, the free upgrade to this private labeled workflow solution includes a job approval system and enhanced reporting capabilities. "Working with MyOrderDesk is easy," according to Ray Sziber, president, Capitol Copy Service. "Even our least computer savvy customers can use it. During a recent training seminar, one of our non-profit organization customers interrupted with many "computer 101" type questions. We really wondered whether he would be able to use the Web to send us jobs. Surprisingly, we received a job from him via our Web site the following Monday! He basically taught himself. With the new approval system, printers, reprographers, signmakers, and copyshops, etc. can easily turn on an automated system for gathering approvals on a job submitted by a customer's employee. After receiving an order, the shop's MyOrderDesk system automatically requests approval from the customer's appropriate manager, supervisor, or purchasing agent. A multi-step approval process can be accommodated when more than one approval is needed. Those approving the order can review the job details as well as enter comments, PO numbers, etc. The print provider is kept informed throughout the process and can quickly review approval current status. "For the shop owner, the addition of the job approval system is a great time saver on many different jobs, and is particularly well suited for orders of items such as business cards, letterheads, inventory items, etc.," said Steve Ciesemier, vice-president, PagePath Technologies, Inc.
