IKON Chooses Webprint for Desktop Express Internet Printing Service

San Bruno, CA November 27, 2001: Webprint, Inc., a software infrastructure solutions provider for on-demand printers, office chains, and facilities management organizations, today announced that IKON Office Solutions, Inc. (NYSE: IKN) has selected Webprint to provide key components and e-commerce software for IKON's Desktop Express (SM) solution. The resulting product will allow corporations to better utilize their centralized reprographic centers, while controlling quality and costs. IKON's Desktop Express solution will enable corporate users to print directly to any one of their reprographic centers, right from their document authoring application-as easily as sending their documents to their desktop or departmental printer. Based on integrated technology from Webprint, users simply install a Desktop Express print driver that allows them to print to any of their corporate reprographic facilities. When the user submits a job, Desktop Express converts the document into a "print-ready" Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) file and the user is given an accurate online proof of the document. Users can then tap into the full array of digital printing services available from their reprographics center, including choice of paper color, covers, and binding options-all from their desktop. The print order, job ticket, and print-ready file are then sent via the Internet to the corporate reprographic center of their choice.
