Print Consultant Margie Dana to Run Print Buyers’ Panel

Monday, November 05, 2001

Press release from the issuing company

Margie Gallo Dana of the Boston-area firm Dana Consulting is moderating a panel of four professional print buyers at the upcoming Printing Northeast Expo ’01, entitled "Why Do Buyers Choose Certain Printers," which will be held on Thursday, November 15, from 9 to 11 am at the Worcester Centrum Centre in Worcester, MA. Ms. Dana, a former corporate print-buyer who founded her consulting firm in 1997 to promote effective communication between printers and their customers, will moderate the morning session. With 25 years of experience in the field, Margie Dana is a combination author, speaker, and printing expert. Ms. Dana is a member of the Printing Institute’s Board of Directors as well as a regular contributor to “Expert Row” on www.whattheythink.com, the major Internet printing portal. Margie is the Editor of Print Buyer Today, a brand-new publication for print buyers. "Why Do Buyers Choose Printers" is designed to help print buyers at every level and in every industry – as well as printers and print salespeople. Topics to be discussed include the qualities of the perfect salesperson, whether buyers want printers who are Internet savvy and “connected,” and what qualities or services can tempt buyers to switch print vendors. Opportunities for questions from the audience will be provided also. Ms. Dana says, “Our goal is to give printers a chance to hear what print buyers from different fields are saying about why they work with certain types of printing firms - and to help other print buyers learn from some seasoned pros.” Panelists include Jill Alex Connolly from Analog Devices, Inc., Jennifer Frenette from Fidelity Investments, Maureen Quaile from John Hancock, and Janel Wright from Northeastern University. The cost for the event is $55 for registration before November 9th, with discounts available for groups of five or more. To register, visit http://www.pine.org/expo2001/schedule.htm, then click on “Registration and Discount Information,” or contact Dana Consulting at http://www.printconsulting.com.
