Indigo Selects Andy Middleton To Head New Distribution Business Unit

Maastricht, The Netherlands – Indigo’s Andy Middleton has been appointed to the position of General Manager, Worldwide Distributor Channels with a clear objective to increase Indigo’s sales within the commercial printing market and to ensure that all distributors are focused on this task. At the same time, Indigo has created a new Distribution Business Unit to provide a comprehensive support organization for its distributor channels. With Indigo’s global operations expanding on a daily basis, Andy is determined to make the distributor channels as profitable as their counterpart operations in Europe and North America. "Penetration of the commercial printing market is essential for increased sales within the distributor channels throughout Asia, Latin America, Africa and some European territories," explains Andy. "I will be offering ‘hands on’ support to all distributors with a view to achieving my key objectives, which are to increase Indigo’s revenues and market share in these areas." Andy continues, "We have a tremendous opportunity to transform complete sectors of the printing industry by providing them with the most productive digital printing presses available today." Widely experienced in both frontline sales and distributor support, Andy has worked for Indigo in various roles. For more than four years he was responsible for looking after the distributing partners in Europe and the Middle East. He then went on in January 1999 to take the role of General Manager of Indigo Germany which also included sales in Austrian and Swiss territories. Andy concludes, "I’ve already started to look at the best ways to implement my new business strategies. My existing strong relationships with distributors are vital in this role, and they have already offered me a tremendous amount of support." Since starting his new role Andy has introduced training programs for distributors with local market information, special upgrade offers, and business support programs covering all stages of the sales process. Through its international offices and national distributors, Indigo has a presence in over 40 countries.
