ROCHESTER, N.Y., June 28 Kodak Earth Imaging Products (KODAK EIP), a business segment within Eastman Kodak Company's Commercial & Government Systems unit (C&GS), today introduced the availability of Federal pricing at its newly enhanced Web site http://www.kodak.com/go/earthimaging, an ecommerce site for the sale of current, high-resolution aerial images. Federal customers and prime contractors can order orthorectified and georeferenced imagery for Department of Defense (DoD) and non-DoD activities and translate the information derived from these images for strategic business planning. With the site's new functionality, users can search a map by a location's proper name, street address, area code, zip code, latitude and longitude, or by metropolitan area. The enhanced navigation is available for Mac or PC users with Web browsers Netscape 4.6 and higher and IE 4.0 and higher. No plugins are required. "Our ability to offer Federal pricing combined with the new navigation options of the Kodak Earth Imaging site makes it easier than ever before for our government customers to derive information from the images they order online, at the best possible price,'' said Martin Graen, general manager, Image Information Solutions. Users can narrow a geographical region on the map and zoom to select a specific surface area. Users then select the resolution (6-inch, 12-inch, 2 feet or 1 meter) and image format they desire (CD with a viewer and/or Kodak prints in 10-inch, 20x24-inch and 40x42-inch format). Most orders are delivered within ten days of purchase.
