On November 30, Schreiner ProTech to Host Webinar on Venting Solutions & Membranes to Prevent Water Ingress

Press release from the issuing company

Half-hour presentation to cover various aspects of adequate protection against water ingress, including solutions such as pressure compensation seals.

Oberschleissheim, Germany – Schreiner ProTech, a Germany-based global leader in developing and manufacturing innovative functional labels with value-added benefits for the automotive and engineering-based industries, will offer a free live webinar detailing the critical topic of preventing water ingress for various electronic components. Suitable especially to professionals responsible for components development, management and quality control, Venting Solutions & Membranes – Water Tightness Test will be presented on November 30 at 10am Eastern Time. Those interested in attending can register here.

Delivered in step-by-step best practices, the half-hour webinar will cover a number of crucial topics pertaining to keeping components watertight. Starting with an overview that helps participants identify water entry points and thresholds, the presentation will explore proper testing protocols and application procedures for protective solutions, most notably pressure compensation seals (PCS).

A follow-up to an October webinar on airflow needs and solutions, the discussion will explore the correlation between membrane thickness, airflow and water entry. It will include insights into available systems for watertightness testing, as well as ways to interpret the reports these systems generate. Importantly, the webinar also will help participants understand which water protection solutions pair best with specific applications, providing valuable insight into an exceedingly complex, scenario-dependent issue.

The webinar will be presented by Adrian Marggraf, Product Manager PCS for Schreiner Protech, whose pressure compensation seals offer a variety of benefits including easy application, the ability to allow airflow while preventing moisture ingress, and customized design flexibility in terms of shapes, sizes, materials and adhesives.
