Leaf Digital Camera Back Wins Forum Product Design Award
Press release from the issuing company
Herzlia, ISRAEL (May 16, 2001) - Leaf Products of CreoScitex, a division of Creo Products Inc. (NASDAQ: CREO; TSE: CRE), announces that the International Forum Design GMbH in Hanover, Germany has honoured the Leaf Cantare digital camera back with the International Forum Product Design Award 2001. The Leaf Cantare was selected out of 700 competitors from 30 countries, representing more than 1,300 products.
An independent, international panel judged the entries during several days and rounds of selection and the winning products selected were judged to have the highest level of design quality. The award is a significant achievement in this extremely competitive and top quality field.
The Leaf Cantare is a high quality, digital camera back that attaches to professional cameras when capturing digital photographs in the studio. Since the Leaf Cantare fits different types of cameras, it was designed as an autonomic unit with a unique esthetic design. Emphasis was placed on a comfortable grip of the camera back, and a soft contact between the camera back and the photographer's cheek as he looks through the viewfinder. A lever at the back, called Leaf VHtwist, switches from vertical to horizontal formats without rotating the camera.
