Nikon Selects Lexar Media Digital Film for the Coolpix 995 Digital Camera

Press release from the issuing company

FREMONT, CA, April 26, 2001 -- Lexar Media, Inc. (NSDQ: LEXR), a leading designer, developer and marketer of award-winning digital film and connectivity products for the digital photography market, announced today that Nikon Inc. has selected Lexar Media's CompactFlashª digital film for the Coolpix 995 high-performance consumer digital camera. The bundled card will have a 16 megabyte capacity with an 8x speed (where 1x=150 kilobytes sustained write speed per second). "Lexar Media and Nikon have had a relationship since both companies joined forces to bundle our digital film with the Nikon Coolpix 880 and 990 digital cameras," said John Reimer, Lexar Media's president and CEO. "Consumer response to this co-marketing arrangement has been significant, as evidenced by the high demand for the Nikon's Coolpix product line and Lexar Media CompactFlash digital film." "Professional and amateur photographers in the market for a high-performance, high-megapixel digital camera appreciate the speed advantage of Lexar Media digital film," Reimer continued. "Beyond speed, they know that Lexar Media digital film maximizes their camera's key features, which is what attracted them to digital photography in the first place."
