Nobelus® Adds Versatile Laminator to Its Equipment Lineup

Press release from the issuing company

Laminating Equipment Supplier Offers Single- and Dual-Sided Lamination in One Unit

KNOXVILLE, TENNESSEE – Nobelus, one of the print industry's most influential suppliers of laminates, unsupported films, and laminating equipment, is announcing the Komfi® Amiga 52 Double as a new addition to their equipment line. This on-demand and production thermal laminator is a flexible laminating system that can provide single- or double-sided lamination in one pass through the machine.

Dawn Hudock, Equipment Product Manager for Nobelus, explains, "With production labor at a premium today, this time-saving system is a must-have for anyone processing two-sided laminated sheets one side at a time." The unit also includes several automatic functions, including sheet-overlap control, nip pressure activation, and sheet separation with a built-in perforator. To ensure prompt troubleshooting, mis-feeding and temperature-drop detection features alert the operator when issues arise. The unit's centralized control panel can be programmed with defined parameters to support pre-set activation for similar runs.

Capable of laminating digitally printed and offset pieces, the Amiga 52 Double provides lamination capabilities for a variety of applications, including business cards, brochures, and direct mail or greeting cards. "The beauty of this machine is that, not only can you do two-sided lamination in a single pass," Hudock continues, "it can also easily be used as a single-sided laminator. You’re getting two machines in one!"

Compatible with BOPP, PET, and nylon films for single-sided lamination and BOPP for double-sided lamination, the Amiga 52 Double has a host of optional features that can increase efficiency and support post-laminate embellishments, including a Sleeking® attachment, an automatic stacker or jogging table, an additional film perforator, and film loading equipment.
