London Litho and Flint Ink Form Strategic Partnership

Lincolnwood, Illinois, April 2001 London Litho announces a newly formed partnership with Flint Ink that combines the strength, experience, and resources of both companies to bring the most advanced ink technology to the printing industry.  Flint Ink's premium product line, state-of-the-art research center, and product development labs coupled with London Litho's efficient distribution, networking capabilities, and pressroom technical expertise offer printers a combination of resources unique to the industry.  "Our partnership with Flint Ink is an ideal combination of resources.  It improves customer access to quality products, and brings new opportunities to expand our customer base," says London Litho President Eric London. According to London Litho Pressroom Products Manager Bill Clesen, the company will provide a complete line of Flint Ink process systems including PMS and special spot color (matches).  The inks will be packaged in one-pound and five-pound cans as well as plastic kits for larger volumes, and delivered with London Litho's proven efficiency.  "London Litho was built on the efficient distribution of consumables," says Clesen.  "We are able to provide customers with same-day service on a wide variety of pressroom products." Founded in 1920 and headquartered in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Flint Ink offers a comprehensive range of inks for sheetfed and web offset, flexographic, gravure, UV/EB curable and digital printing applications.  Operations are organized into five customer segments: digital, publication, packaging, commercial, and news products.  Flint Ink operates nearly 100 facilities, employs approximately 4000 people and has sales in excess of $1.4 billion worldwide.
