NEW ORLEANS -- March 22, 2001 -- During its successful North American DALiM Software User Organization (DUO) meeting, hosted by Blanchard Systems, Inc. (March 11-13 in New Orleans), DALiM Software announced it enjoyed a 23% increase in software licenses in 2000 compared to the previous year. The meeting, attended by a diverse cross-section of customers and vendors including SGI and Zenplex, provided a series of technology workshops, user stories, new product direction, and a forum to assist DALiM Software with future product development. DALiM Software provided insight into future direction of TWiST, its highly regarded workflow software. According to Carol Werle, CEO of DALiM Software, users can expect greater Web access and tools, along with more predefined workflows tailored for specific application environments. "I learned a lot and have enjoyed working with Blanchard Systems' staff," remarked Mike Nobis, President of JK Creative Printers, who reported during his user presentation that his company saved 42% in film output costs after installing a TWiST workflow. "The product tips and other user experiences were particularly helpful." "We have made a very concerted effort to build a strong user community in North America, where everyone can learn from others' experiences," noted Michael Holzberg, Blanchard Chief Marketing Officer. "We were very encouraged by the meeting's attendance and our customers' willingness to take an active role in building a support network." With tight deadlines dependent upon sophisticated DALiM Software, ad agencies require responsive service," commented Barry Marler, Director of Imaging and Prepress of the Integer Group and newly-appointed president of DUO. "We have been very impressed with the level of attention that Blanchard Systems has given us, and the Web-based customer service reporting system that DALiM Software is putting in place."
