Digital Vision Launches the First Layered Stock Footage Title

Friday, March 23, 2001

Press release from the issuing company

3/23/01 - Digital Vision, the world’s premier royalty free publisher, today announces the launch of a Motion title that will create new possibilities in stock footage. Produced by one of London’s most progressive motion graphic designers D-Fuse, this title, reaffirms Digital Vision’s position as a high- end pioneering royalty free publisher. The painstaking production of this creative original will break boundaries in the design studio, fusing the elements of creativity. Subliminal Data is an unrendered layered stock footage title that allows extreme manipulation of quality motion graphics in Adobe After Effects© making it the first ‘mix and match’ designer’s production kit of clips. D- Fuse are confident that the release of this title will give the graphic designer who wants to move into motion graphics the much needed material they are waiting for. The designer of Subliminal Data Michael Falkner explains the problems they faced when making the transition ‘The only available sources to us were too straight and specific. We wanted images that represented energy and action that could be distorted into many concepts’ The elements to this title also expand the horizons for moving graphics from web to broadcast. Other Motion titles launched at this time include the mood altering Atmospherics, the experimental title X-posed a series of X-ray animations and Global Exchange a unique compilation from London based Dark Side Animations that include Hollywood blockbuster Lost in Space in their credits. Digital Vision, Motion titles are offered on CD Rom and are available in both NTSC (720 x 486) and PAL (720 x 576) formats. Many of the titles have looped clips with alpha mattes for easy compositing. Rendered layered versions of Subliminal Data are available to non After Effect’s users. All new Motion titles including Subliminal Data are available from the 1st April 2001 with a preview of new clips, Motion titles prices range from $499 to $699.
