PIA Makes State Employment Posters Available

Press release from the issuing company

Alexandria, VA (February 1, 2001) – PIA has made State Employment Posters required notices of state labor laws available on GAIN (the Graphic Arts Information Network). Employers in all 50 states are required to post employment law information, which varies from state to state. The most common and accessible format for this information is posters, provided by the state agencies. Typical posting requirements include the following: Workers’ Compensation, Unemployment Benefits, Safety and Health, Minimum Wage/Overtime, and EEO (or Fair Employment). However, it is sometimes difficult to find out which of these posters are required and how to obtain them from the various state agencies. Often, independent services will offer sets of state posters, but for a fee. In a continuing effort to assist and support their members, PIA has made available a quick and easy solution to this problem, saving members both time and money. All the necessary information is now available on GAIN. Information on the posting requirements for all 50 states has been consolidated and is readily available. Whenever possible, links to the appropriate state agency have also been provided. In many cases, the posters can simply be downloaded directly from GAIN. If the actual poster is not available, complete information on obtaining it from the state is provided. The information is updated on a regular basis in order to stay current with ever-changing laws.
