Standard Register Explains Reorganization to It’s Customers

Thursday, February 01, 2001

Press release from the issuing company

(DAYTON, OHIO), January 26, 2001...  Standard Register posted the following letter on their web site in an effort to help customers understand their reorganization plans. To Our Valued Customers:. Over the last six months, we've worked very hard examining every facet of our business, including products and services as well as the market segments and customers Standard Register serves. We've designed a four-phase plan that will, in effect, reinvent our company over the coming years. This reinvention begins with an intensive, company-wide restructuring and reorganization that will align our company around four focused businesses. Each Strategic Business Unit will have its own leadership and accountability for performance and customer satisfaction. We intend to serve our customers throughout this restructuring and reorganization without disruption. Upon completion of these actions, we intend to be more focused than ever on providing world-class products and services. Should you have any questions, please contact your local Standard Register account representative. For more on this reorganization, see our press release dated January 25, 2001. Productivity and customer satisfaction are paramount indicators of business success. We plan to use the Six Sigma approach to drive improved performance and more effectively utilize assets. Finally, we will develop and expand on growth opportunities for the company, adding new products and capabilities while becoming even more responsive to customer needs. Since our founding in 1912, we've seen countless changes both in the business world and the world in which we live. Technology plays an increasing role in nearly every facet of our lives. And Standard Register is more committed than ever to developing products based on new technology and geared to the new marketplace. We ask for your patience and support as we move through this transformation, and thank you for the confidence you have in us. Following the implementation of these phases, we expect to be a stronger, more responsive organization - and the leader in our industry.
