Enprom Promotes the Substitution of Plastic to Paper

Press release from the issuing company

The boom in online shopping during the Coronavirus pandemic has seen retailers having to not only cater for an increase in digital sales, but also boost their online capacity. With this e-commerce surge, sustainability issues remain very much in focus as retailers opt to steer away from the use of plastics in their supply chain whenever possible.

To help solve this need, Spanish converting machinery specialist, Enprom Solutions, has developed an innovative modular converting line, specifically designed to produce paper envelopes and folders in different formats. Their ‘circular economy line’ is called the eFCS 130, which combines inline processes to provide a highly efficient hybrid solution.

The eFCS 130 includes a regenerative shaftless motorised unwinder with pick up, two flexographic printing units, a high performance drying unit, a rotary die-cutting unit with printed line in register, an exit table with shredding unit, format stacking and intuitive software for easy use and control of productivity.

Created through the integration of two independent printing and die cutting processes in a single line. By making the final product in a single step, the eFCS 130 solution enables high productivity with reduced waste, the ability to rationalise stock holding and is perfect for reprinting and customising the final product.

With its ability to promote both sustainability and recyclability in the fast paced e-commerce environment, the eFCS 130 is set to provide retailers with a competitive advantage as both the growth in online sales and reductions in the amount of plastic packaging throughout their supply chains.

Enprom Solutions, jointly acquired by A B Graphic and Kocher + Beck, was founded in 2012 and is headquartered in Girona, near Barcelona. Its product range includes equipment for shrink sleeve, converting, slitting and rewinding, label finishing, lamination and hybrid converting.
