MILFORD, Conn.--Jan. 29, 2001--On February 28th ON DEMAND 2001 will open its doors at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York with nearly 200 exhibiting companies spanning 104,000 square feet of exhibit space, the largest in the event's history. According to Advanstar Communications and CAP Ventures, Inc., producers of the trade show, there will be many new companies participating in the event for the first time including Axode, CEMSpa, Harlequin, Presstek, Rochester Software Associates and WebPrint to name a few. "We are still seeing a growth in this segment. There is growth in floor space, an increased participation from vendors and attendees and an overwhelming enthusiasm about new products among the vendors that will be exhibiting at the upcoming event. Even with the current situation in the technology community there is great excitement building for ON DEMAND," said Steve Engel, show director for Advanstar Communications. "The show floor will be buzzing with dozens of new product introductions, hundreds of digital printing and publishing solutions and of course many exciting features including the Adobe Solutions Network Pavilion." Many companies will be launching products at ON DEMAND, as they see this as the perfect forum to make industry-wide announcements. Key vendors in the printing community including Heidelberg, Kodak, IKON Office Solutions, Documents Sciences and others are planning new product introductions to take place during the event. An addition to the larger show floor is the Adobe's Solutions Network Pavilion which will feature dozens of Adobe partners demonstrating integrated solutions for digital printing and publishing. Some of the Adobe partners that will be participating in the Pavilion include Sansui Software, Sterling Ledet & Associates, PageTec, Inc., Digital Applications, Scientific Software, Datazone, Dynamic Document Solutions and MyAdGuys.com. The conference program, produced by CAP Ventures, Inc. will also be bigger this year, with the addition of two new conferences covering online printing and publishing, and dynamic content, plus three newly added marketing forums. The three keynote sessions will offer a retrospective look at where the industry is and insight to the future. On Friday, March 2nd Skip LaBella, Vice President & Manager of Print, Mail & Fulfillment & Electronic Publishing for T.Rowe Price will join the distinguished panel of speakers who will discuss "The Future of Print." "With great names like T.Rowe Price, Heidelberg, Adobe, Hewlett-Packard, IKON Office Solutions, Kinkos, Inc., printCafe, Xerox, and the Rochester Institute of Technology joining CAP Ventures to participate in this three-day event, we know the printing professionals who attend will agree ON DEMAND is an important trade show and conference that is not to be missed," said Charles A.
