Xeikon Café TV to Demonstrate Complete Process of Digital Pouch Production

Press release from the issuing company

Print : Laminate : Convert

Itasca, Ill. – Digital printers and converters are invited to explore benchmark methods for digital pouch production using Xeikon fleXflow at the latest Xeikon Café TV episode on Thursday, October 15th at 10:00 AM EDT. Two leading converters who use the fleXflow solution will join Xeikon product experts offering their knowledge, deep understanding and advice on the process required for efficient, successful and profitable digital pouch production.

Attendees will view technical demonstrations and hear forward-thinking advice from Simon Smith, Managing Director and Adam James, Operations Director at CS Labels/CS Pouches in the UK; and Gustavo Guzzi, EMEA Sales Manager at Karlville Pouch Converting Solutions. There also will be a Q&A session with all speakers. Complimentary registration is available by using this link.

“Digital pouch production is a perfect fit for label converters looking to diversify and expand their business,” said Xeikon’s Stefan Clopterop, Market Segment Manager, Labels. “Our fleXflow process revolutionizes pouch making by offering “zero-after-cure” of the laminate. This is an eco-friendly solution by not using solvents during print and lamination plus high bonding strength and low complexity in the handling and construction of many different types of pouches.

“We are hosting this Xeikon Café TV demonstration to give converters the confidence to benefit from new and growing markets. The production of pouches can be combined with an existing label business which is an attractive option, thereby easing the burden of a financial risk that is sometimes linked to entering new markets.

“The opportunities have never been higher. During the Covid-19 pandemic there have been significant increases in e-commerce and higher local demand due to disrupted supply chains from other countries. Brand owners are looking for local suppliers of pouches to secure and improve the flexibility of their supply chain and ensure the safety of their products.”

Flexible packaging applications are part of a dynamic global market with huge potential. Xeikon launched its innovative pouch production solution, based on Xeikon fleXflow, at Labelexpo in 2019 and since then the uptake has been significant. By introducing digital pouch production, label converters can add value to their portfolio and bring in new revenue streams.

During the webinar, label printers and converters will see and hear the following demonstrations and discussions:

? Xeikon’s CX500 digital press using its proprietary dry toner technology with full food safety compliance
? Xeikon’s LCoat 500 for “zero-after-cure” lamination
? Karlville pouch converting - twin-web pouch converting with ultrasonic welding
? Quality flexible pouches for a variety of end user markets
? Customer Testimonial from Simon Smith and Adam James (CS-labels, CS pouches)

To attend the complimentary Xeikon Café TV broadcast on October 15th, please register here. Samples of pouches will be available after the event. If you have questions, please contact [email protected]
