Japan’s Kashimura Transforms Business with HP Indigo 12000 HD Digital Printing

Press release from the issuing company

Shimane Prefecture, Hamada City, Japan – Japanese print solution provider Kashimura Co. Ltd. has made the leap from analog to digital with its acquisition of an HP Indigo 12000 HD Digital Press. With its new HP Indigo solution, Kashimura can now complete jobs with high-quality pictures more quickly. It can also print digitally to suit any commercial applications – from DM to posters at retail stores and restaurants and more.

For decades, Kashimura has been a key provider of commercial printing services to Japan’s Shimane Prefecture and the wider middle-northwest region. A market leader in General Commercial Printing (GCP) and luxury art printing, the company previously relied on traditional production solutions.

Recently, however, Japan’s GCP market has been shrinking. With the company facing significantly less demand for long run printing, Kashimura’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr Hideo Kashimura, took the decision to embark on a digital transformation strategy.

“Even though we are now in a difficult situation due to the coronavirus outbreak, we see this as an excellent opportunity to change our business model from analog to digital,” says Mr Kashimura.

The HP Indigo 12000 HD Digital Press is enabling this transformation by increasing Kashimura’s productivity and expanding its printing capabilities. Using HP Indigo’s print operating system, the company can automate more processes, speed up operations, and simplify production.

“We will take advantage of the versatility and automation tools that HP Indigo 12000 HD Digital Press offers to make our new business model successful,” adds Mr Kashimura.
