Johnson & Quin selects Xenos for Automated Proofing Application

Press release from the issuing company

Johnson & Quin purchases Xenos software to reduce the time for proofing personalized marketing documents TORONTO, April 22 -- Johnson & Quin, a leader in the direct marketing space, has selected software from Xenos, the data to e-content company, to generate electronic proofs of their clients' personalized marketing documents, before production printing. Xenos d2e Platform software has been selected because of its advanced capability to reduce Johnson & Quin's turn-around time by electronically delivering pre-production proofs of their clients' documents. This Proofing Solution will produce the proofs in PDF format, providing a nearly identical replication of the look & feel of the printed document, allowing Johnson & Quin's clients to preview these documents without requiring a printed version. This new proofing method replaces the need to print a proof of the document, send it to the client and wait for their comments before production printing. Personalized marketing documents that print on both IBM and Xerox AFP high-speed printers are transformed into Adobe PDF for electronic delivery to the client. Johnson & Quin is using Xenos d2e Developer Studio to generate the PDF proofs. d2e Developer Studio is an easy to use GUI environment that hides the complexities of the underlying printer formats, allowing Johnson & Quin personnel to rapidly create the PDF proofs. "The Xenos software will have a positive impact on both our internal production, as well as our clients' marketing programs," said Jack Freeman, Executive Vice President of Johnson & Quin. "The use of Xenos by our IT staff to create client documents will reduce development time by substantially reducing or eliminating the time traditionally spent on production printers positioning information. Also, clients will be able to quickly and easily view PDF proofs via email; make annotations, changes or approvals; and electronically file documents for archival purposes and other future needs. Many of our clients are eager to take advantage of the electronic proofs Xenos helps us to create." "Direct Marketing companies such as Johnson & Quin face increasing demand to streamline and speed up the process of providing proof documents for their clients," said Jim Farmer, President and COO of Xenos. "We are pleased to be a key component of Johnson & Quin's Proofing Application."
