We are at the deadline for nominations for the William D. Schaeffer Environmental Award. See below for more information and if you are interested in nominating an individual, but will not be able to get the nomination submitted today, please let us know so we can work with you on getting the nomination submitted. This is an excellent opportunity to recognize an individual who has made contributions to the printing industry.
Thanks,
Gary Jones
Printing Industries of America is seeking to honor an individual who has unselfishly made significant contributions toward environmentally sound practices in the printing industry. Nominations for the William D. Schaeffer Environmental Award are now being accepted and are due by March 5, 2013.
Established in 1990, this award is named for environmental pioneer and researcher, Dr. William D. Schaeffer, who is celebrated in the industry for his contributions to environmental issues.
The Schaeffer Award serves to recognize an individual’s focus on advancing environmental awareness and action in the graphic communication industry as a whole. Nominees must have sustained long-term efforts that resulted in successful environmental programs and improvements which contributed to one or more of the following areas:
Education
Public Relations
Continuous Improvement
Compliance Assistance
Regulatory Issue Involvement
Pioneering Efforts
The Schaeffer Award recipient will receive an engraved plaque and be honored before a prestigious group of peers and industry leaders during Printing Industries of America’s Spring Administrative Meetings, June 1–2, 2013, in Pittsburgh, PA.
