The Government Printing Office become the latest facility to achieve certification by the Sustainable Green Printing Partnership (SGP). The GPO is of course responsible for producing all the documents and other materials for all branches of the Federal Government. Says the GPO, in a press release:
SGP Certification is important to GPO’s Strategic Plan for FY 2013-2017, which identifies environmental stewardship as a priority. The plan specifies recycling, reducing energy consumption, reducing GPO’s carbon footprint, and providing Federal customers with sustainable printing alternatives as continuing initiatives for the agency.
Going Green congratulates the GPO on their certification and thanks them for their commitment to sustainability.
