Anyway, the Southeastern Chapter of the Institute of Packaging Professionals (IoPP) has announced that their 4th Annual “48 Hour Re-Pack” Student Packaging Design Competition is now open. The competition “was created as a forum to highlight the skills and talents of tomorrow’s design professionals,” says the IoPP;
the 2013 “48 Hour Re-Pack” Student Packaging Design Competition encourages creative problem-solving and “smart design” for packaging of everyday products. Design improvements can be applied to any package or a completely new concept in one of the categories.

As the name of the contest suggests, “The 2013 categories will be unveiled by e-mail at 7 pm on Friday, February 22, 2013. All submissions must be received by 7 pm on Sunday, February 24, 2013.” The registration deadline is February 20.
