Over in the Granite State, Warner, NH-based digital printer and marketing services provider
R.C. Brayshaw & Co. was named by the New Hampshire Department of Resources and Economic Development as the 2012 “Green Business of the Year.” Says the company’s press release:
“Being an environmentally friendly company that includes printing as part of its services takes a lot of work,” said Christopher Way, of the New Hampshire Division of Economic Development. “The company recognizes the value and importance of the written words on printed materials we hold in our hands. They are mindful of managing their materials and limiting landfill waste, and they have earned certification from the Forest Stewardship Council for their practices. R.C. Brayshaw is a company that understands what it takes to protect the environment. When I state that some companies seem to ‘get it’ when it comes to prudent environmental practices, I can assure you that R.C. Brayshaw is a company that ‘really gets it!’”
The award was presented at
Greenerpalooza, an annual celebration of New Hampshire’s energy efficiency efforts, featuring live music and other events. This year’s featured performer was the legendary Carlos Santana.
R.C. Brayshaw & Co. was founded in 1979, and founder Richard Brayshaw conceived of it as an environmentally responsible printing company from the get-go. Said son Tom Brayshaw, now company president and CEO, “Based on the examples he set, we have always concentrated on doing what is right. My staff and I are overwhelmed and deeply honored by this award and can think of no better tribute to my father's legacy.”
