World Wildlife Fund’s attempt to get folks to use a file format—.wwf—that is “unprintable” (although, see Peter’s comment: “buy a Dell. 50% of the time, it won’t let you print anything anyway). The idea was that by not printing, you were saving a tree. Now, it seems, the WWF has had a change of heart, and—
via Friends of Print and Paper—last year launched an ad campaign in Australia touting the benefits of managed forestry (click through to watch a little commercial all about Harry Ficus).
Here is the
WWF’s page on forestry certification, and they support FSC certification. There are also a number of position papers available as PDFs. And you can print them.
