If you’re going to be in the Chicago area next week—or want to be in the Chicago area next week—be sure to check out the 22nd Consecutive Unisource Chicago Paper Show on Tuesday, October 4, 2011, at the Hilton Chicago Hotel. Says Unisource:
The well-established show—an invitation-only and exclusive event—attracts approximately 1,000 of the leading designers and commercial printers from around the Chicago area, one of the leading graphic arts markets in the U.S.  In its 22-year history, the Unisource Chicago show featured an Academy Award winning film, a working letterpress, the latest in paper making technology from leading mills, and the first photographer for Rolling Stone magazine.
This year’s show will feature a keynote by foldfactory.com’s Trish Witkowski, an educator, author, speaker and award winning designer; the Chicago 50 Corporate Communications Show of annual reports, corporate brochures, and sustainability reports from 50 of Chicago’s top companies and institutions; Typeforce 2, a showcase of the best in emerging typographic design and art in Chicago; and Design to Print, a Marwen student show and exhibit featuring a series of greeting cards. The show will also include environmental exhibitions by the Forest Stewardship Council  (FSC), Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI), and SGS North America, as well as other exhibitors.
