  • How-to Tactical Plan for 'Sustainability' Success, 9/13 Learn how other printers have successfully increased or maintained sales while reducing costs by protecting the environment. Gary Jones from Printing Industries of America and a panel of printers and industry experts will review key factors influencing the success of your sustainability efforts. They will discuss and present the value of sustainability across your entire operation through this wide-ranging panel discussion.
  • Performance Dashboard: Stalking Waste in the Printers’ Processes, 9/14 Performance Dashboard is a platform for assessing equipment performance that helps uncover problems and identifies process bottlenecks. Testing the systems or processes, materials and equipment required to produce the printed product from start to finish is the first step to better understand which areas are not working to peak efficiency. Hear what tools are available and how they can be applied to identifying and eliminate causes of production stops, bottlenecks and waste in the effort to accelerate production throughput and improve quality.
  • Waste Not! Tried and True Methods for Reducing Waste in Your Operation, 9/15 We all agree waste is a killer and waste that can be reduced goes straight to the bottom line. The hard part is controlling/reducing that waste. Waste is caused buy poor process techniques, poor machinery and, yes, people. This eye-opening session will show how to address each area with a plan. It is interesting to note that the higher profit firms have the least waste as well as spoilage (hint: waste and spoilage, in many ways, to go hand in hand).
  • Lean n' Green: Tactics & Techniques for Removing Waste, 9/15 With print customers’ burgeoning interest in ‘green,’ now is the time to lead your company down the path towards more efficient processes and sustainable practices. Here you will learn how to leverage important concepts from Lean manufacturing and sustainable, green printing to help your company cut environmental and production waste and eliminate non-value-added activities. Adopting a lean and green approach can help you turn business and environmental challenges into opportunities for improved processes, less waste, better customer service—and enhanced profitability.
