Ritter's Printing, Ft. Lauderdale FL, is small but feisty. Of the nearly 25 people on staff, 7 are family - immediate or married - giving the company a very different face and working relationship.
It's hard enough for a family to work together and keep everything on an even keel, but according to Jenny Ritter Kelly, VP of Sales, the family rarely has heated disagreements. "Most often it's about which order should be finished first," said Ms. Kelly. At holiday dinners, "we try to keep business out of the discussion, but some how we always end up talking about it," she added.
Having grown from a small quick print franchise acquired by Ms. Kelly's father about 20 years ago, "so we kids could work in the family business," the company has grown to include full 5-color offset and black&white and color digital printing and direct mail services.
And green? Ritter's is now both
FSC and SFI Chain of Custody certified. As a result they have continued to gain new customers looking for certified printers and have kept customers that have begun to look at printing more sustainably.
