Graphic designers can go green and win green with a new design competition.
The marketing wizards at the
Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) have launched a design competition that seeking is "a call-to-action campaign that asks targeted consumers to purchase FSC products as a means of protecting forests around the world."
The competition was developed by
DESIGN 21: Social Design Network to benefit
The Nature Conservancy and and
FSC. Prizes totaling $10,000 will be awarded to winning consumer awareness campaigns for sustainable forestry.
The campaign must consist of a print ad and suite of online advertising banners and buttons that will:
- Create awareness of FSC and shows people that by buying FSC, they can play an active role in protecting forests.
- Drive people to a consumer-searchable website where they can locate FSC products to buy.
Submission deadline is January 13, 2009, and winners will be announced February 10, 2009.
