Public Domain Archive and Reprints Service an experimental non-commercial project to archive and re-publish public domain works is offering print on-demand services for book that are in the public domain. The service relies on a catalog of 2 million books from the Internet Archive and the Google Books project. Books are printed using Lulu.com.

The Websites creator Yakov Shafranovich, describes the process on his blog:

1. You request any public domain book from the Internet Archive.

2. The book is processed and submitted to Lulu, a no upfront fee print on demand company.

3. You can order the printed book from Lulu at cost (plus 1 dollar to cover his server costs).
