The April 1 issue of The New York Times Magazine was all agog at a new printing process - rapid prototyping; we call it 3D printing... Take a look at the future now, we don't have to wait! This is digital printing at its best!

Even more fun is a site called Materialise.MGX. Click on the "enter site (full screen)" to see what amazing things can be "printed!" Be prepared to deal with a Flash site that isn't particularly intuitive, just click on everything in sight and see what happens.

You'll find the stool designed by Patrick Jouin that was highlighted in the Times article. It has 36 hinges, 12 moving legs, and it was "printed" as a single piece! And you'll find some other equally interesting pieces of furniture.

Enjoy!
