Announced at IPEX today:
Networked Graphic Production
Printcafe is a partner in Networked Graphic Production, an initiative that provides a completely integrated environment extending from the creative desktop to the delivery of the finished product, and enabling a collaborative, integrated and optimized environment from idea to delivery. Networked Graphic Production applies JDF standards to communicate job data during import or export, enabling Printcafe, and Creo products to share information while setting the foundation for future integration with other vendor solutions also built on open standards.
Hagen OA? Version 7.0
Hagen OA, introduced in North America in 1997, is a leading enterprise solution for technology-driven commercial printing companies which integrates a robust, advanced accounting package with high-end applications for job management, purchasing, scheduling, inventory and fulfillment. Hagen OA version 7.0 is designed to meet the needs of the European commercial print market, and is available in multiple languages, currencies, and taxation methods.
In addition to Hagen OA 7.0, Printcafe introduced two add-on modules to the International market that are designed for the Networked Graphic Production environment.
Printcafe‚s Prepress Connector version 1.0 will link Printcafe‚s print management systems to Creo‚s Prinergy workflow and Synapse? InSite Internet portal. By enabling data to flow between MIS and prepress, this JDF-based add-on module automates the process of tracking and capturing the costs associated with pre-press workflow -- including proofing, change-order, and approval processes.
Printcafe also introduced to the European market, PrintFlow, a dynamic new scheduling optimization add-on module that will integrate with Hagen OA and other Printcafe management information systems. PrintFlow automatically considers the specifications of each job on a scheduling board and identifies the optimal schedule to print each job while maximizing the efficiency of the machinery on the shop floor.
