Three students start their paid internships with local book manufacturer
Stevens Point, Wis. – Worzalla, an employee-owned printing company specializing in high-quality custom products, is dispelling the myth that manufacturing is an old-fashioned career path by onboarding local university students for their summer internship program. Worzalla’s paid internships offer a select group of students a complete look at what the modern book manufacturing process looks like and the job opportunities available, including jobs focused on technology, people management, graphic design, systems and processes, and more.
“As one of central Wisconsin’s largest employers, it is important for us to invest in a diverse array of workforce development initiatives such as our paid internship program,” said Brianne Petruzalek, Director of Human Resources at Worzalla. “We’re proud to offer local university students a real-world experience of what kind of job opportunities are available for them after graduation.”
Worzalla is pleased to welcome three interns from two area universities:
Upon completion of the internship program, in addition to the work experience gained, Worzalla interns will receive college credit and a letter of recommendation from their supervisors. According to Petruzalek, the interns may be offered the opportunity to continue their work with Worzalla as full- or part-time employees, as Worzalla has been successful in hiring past interns following the completion of their internship.
