Enfocus Announces Availability of PDF/X Guide

Download the Guide Free at: www.enfocus.com & www.ipa.org San Mateo, CA - July 1, 2002 -- As part of its multi-level PDF/X initiative, Enfocus Software is pleased to announce the availability of the electronic version of the "Ultimate Guide to PDF/X, downloadable free via www.enfocus.com as well as on co-sponsor IPA's website: www.ipa.org. The Ultimate Guide to PDF/X, conceived by Enfocus and co-edited by noted industry consultant and writer David Zwang and Vicki Blake, Director of Business Development for Enfocus, is a comprehensive guidebook explaining the PDF/X standard and Certified PDF/X workflows. The Guide, which offers the basics of PDF/X, how-to techniques for creating, receiving and checking PDF/X files and information on PDF/X Plus, was in collaboration with industry suppliers of PDF/X solutions to serve the print publishing industry with accurate information on issues surrounding the ISO standard. In addition to primary co-sponsors Enfocus and the IPA, The Guide is also being sponsored by TIME, Inc., industry associations: DDAP (Digital Distribution of Advertising for Publication), dMACS (Digital Magazines Advertising Canadian Specifications), GASAA (The Australian Graphic Design Association) and other industry vendors and organizations. A printed version of "The Ultimate Guide to PDF/X" is also planned. Availability details to be announced.
