Hopkins Printing Adds New Heidelberg XL106 Press

Press release from the issuing company

COLUMBUS, OHIO - Hopkins Printing has announced the purchase of a new Heidelberg Speedmaster five color offset printing press for its pressroom.  The XL106 will run 18,000 sheets an hour and will enhance the company's printing capabilities while also increasing efficiency and productivity.

The XL106 will print a 75x106 cm sheet, has a coating system, and also boasts Prinect Inpress Control which implements new internal spectrophotometer technology for automatic color control during each run. "This will be our second XL press which puts us in a great position to serve our customers," said Jim Hopkins, CEO of Hopkins Printing.

"The increased depth in our pressroom with the latest technology will allow us to get projects to our bindery, and ultimately our customers, faster," said Roy Waterhouse, President of Hopkins Printing.

The new press is expected to be installed in March 2013 and will replace Hopkins' 2000 Heidelberg CD.
