SmartSoft to Show New PressWise Print Workflow Tools at Dscoop 7

Press release from the issuing company

Datatech SmartSoft will be showing the latest features and enhancements for PressWise, its Web-to-print and Print Workflow Software, at Dscoop 7, which runs in Washington, DC from March 22-24, 2012. PressWise by SmartSoft will be located in Booth 817.

PressWise offers a single cloud-based platform with all the tools required to manage a growing digital print business, including Web-to-print Storefronts, Estimating, Order Management, Production Automation, Shipping and Fulfillment, and Mail Processing. PressWise was designed as an alternative to purchasing or developing separate programs for Web Storefronts, Print Workflow Management, Print MIS and Direct Mailing Software.

New features to be shown at Dscoop include:

1. Inventory Management  - PressWise now offers improved accuracy and speed when dealing with inventory management tasks, with new features including the tracking of real-time inventory levels for paper stock and customer fulfillment items; automatic generation of Purchase Orders to replenish stock levels and place special orders; the ability to keep track of customer fulfillment items, and the ability for printers to enable their customers to see inventory levels on their own personal storefronts and easily reorder items when needed.

2. All-new Support Center – as part of a wider customer support initiative, a new support portal has been created within PressWise, to ensure that customers have 24-hour access to a wealth of learning and support tools. The new portal contains detailed articles and walkthroughs, how-to-videos, documentation and much more. SmartSoft has also launched a weekly webinar series to coincide with the new support initiative, and all weekly webinars are recorded and located within the support portal for on-demand consumption.

3. New API Tools - SmartSoft has released a new XML mapping tool, which will allow custom XML files to be automatically translated into the PressWise XML. The new tool was designed to give customers greater control over custom integration projects, without the need for dedicated programming resources.  Custom integration projects that used to take weeks can now be done in days or even hours, enabling new streams of orders to be rapidly connected to the PressWise manufacturing center.

“We value our Dscoop membership and have increased our exposure with them this year as a result of the success we have shared in previous years” said Eric Wold, Vice President, Datatech SmartSoft. “The typical Dscoop attendee is exactly the type of printer that PressWise is perfect for – they are inherently forward-thinking, ready to adapt to the changing market for print, with a focus on growing their digital business.

“They understand the need to automate their workflow, to ensure that they run their operations as efficiently as possible to meet the demands of customers and thrive in the marketplace. They come to Dscoop to see the best that technology can offer to help them grow their business and the PressWise team is here to partner with them to help achieve their goals.”

You can visit PressWise by SmartSoft at Dscoop in Booth 817. Eric Wold will also be hosting a Presentation during Dscoop entitled Print Workflow and the Cloud: Why SaaS Is Here To Stay, on Friday March 23rd, as well as appearing as a co-panelist in another session on Friday, with R&R Images and PixFizz, entitled End-to-End Photobooks.
