Printcafe Unveils Major Upgrades to Core Print Management Systems

GRAPH EXPO, Chicago, IL (September 29, 2003) - Printcafe Software, Inc, the operating system for print™, today unveiled an exciting line up of upgrades to its core print management systems. Announced at Graph Expo today were the latest versions of PSI, Logic SQL and Hagen™, which will contain major new features and improved functionality. "We are not only adding new integration applications like sales force automation tools, fulfillment and dynamic scheduling, but also improving the core functionality of all of our print management systems," said Marc Olin, Printcafe CEO. "The recent increase in R&D staff has allowed us to accelerate the rate of upgrades and enhancements to enable us to continue to deliver best of breed solutions. This continued investment in our core platforms together with our commitment to open standards, means that we are making Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) a reality for our customers." Announced at Graph Expo today: PSI version 11.1 - New Quoting Capabilities and Integrated Fulfillment Solution The new version of PSI and PSI Flexo contains enhanced estimating functionality including the addition of email capability, enabling users to respond more quickly to their customers. Users will be able to generate highly customizable letters of quote to individual customers, with line items broken down into categories such as paper and prepress costs. The new version also features powerful integration to the PrinterSite™ Internal sales force automation tool and integration with the new PrinterSite™ Fulfillment application. PSI Version 11.1 is approaching the end of its beta cycle and will be available for general release in Q4 this year. Logic SQL, Version 20.01 – New DMI Tools and a New Fulfillment Application Logic release 20.01 will contain integration to Paper Monitor, a new Direct Machine Interface (DMI) add-on module designed to measure paper consumed on a web press, validating basis weight, paper requirements and usage.   Logic 20.01 also will include an improved link between the Quick Quote program and the invoicing module, and several enhancements to the accounting system.  The new version will contain integration to PrinterSite Fulfillment, a new web based fulfillment solution and Auto-Count® 100N - a low-cost DMI solution for small presses and finishing equipment. Logic SQL version 20.01 is planned for Beta release towards the end of 2003.   Hagen OA version 7.5 - Multiple New Features Including New Email Capability Hagen version 7.5 will contain multiple new features including the addition of system wide, user-defined email triggers enabling users to email directly out of Hagen, thereby saving time and improving communication. Estimating improvements will include enhanced integration to the PrinterSite Internal sales force automation tool plus key fulfillment enhancements. Version 7.5 will also include enhanced integration to Auto-Count with a new shop-floor run-list builder, a new prepress sheeting capability, a new shipping program, improvements to invoicing, and tax-table import capabilities. Hagen version 7.5 is expected to enter beta release in the fourth quarter of 2003.
