interlinkONE's President & CEO at 2009 Fulfillment Conference

Press release from the issuing company

WILMINGTON, MA - interlinkONE, Inc., a leading provider of web-based marketing software solutions, today announced John P. Foley Jr., its president and chief executive officer, was one of the most well-received speakers at the 2009 Fulfillment Conference held by the Mailing & Fulfillment Service Association (MFSA). Foley received a perfect score of 5.0/5.0 from the attendees who completed the evaluation following his Oct. 18 session, "How to Use Social Media to Build Business," at the Hyatt Regency in Tampa, Fla. During the one-hour seminar, Foley spoke about the growing popularity of such social networking sites as Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn, as well as how companies can use them to expand their business.

"John set the stage for Sunday's sessions and made the conference one of the highest rated in recent history," said David L. Core, director of education for MFSA. "Attendees, who used words like 'dynamic,' 'highly useful' and 'exciting' to describe Foley's talk, said the content and presentation were right on target and that this was definitely a message that business owners need to hear."

"Social media isn't going away; it's only going to continue to evolve," Foley said. "You may be telling yourself you don't have to the time to tweet or post pictures on the Internet, but think of it this way: Do you have time to save your business against the competition? You can start small-maybe just a fan page on Facebook that's basically an extension of your company Web site-but the important thing is that you join the conversation. However, keep in mind social media is only one part of a successful marketing plan. Traditional marketing must still be used to reach everyone in your audience."

In recognition of the growing and continued relevance of social media, interlinkONE has developed two new products to work in conjunction with social networking sites. ilink.Me is an application that creates an abbreviated version of a Web site's typically long address; the link can then be posted in e-mails or on other websites to quickly and easily direct people to a company's site. The application is designed to work best with interlinkONE's Version 8 marketing software, which enables companies to build, manage, execute, and measure marketing activities across all channels. interlinkONE's marketing software also makes it easy to generate Quick Response Codes (QR Codes) independently or as an integrated part of the company's end-to-end personalized marketing solutions. QR Codes are two-dimensional bar codes featuring URLs that drive users from printed materials to the Web. They are increasingly being used on business cards, direct mail pieces, billboards, postcards, fliers, and more. Both ilink.Me and QR Codes allow users to evaluate the success of their online marketing efforts by tracking how people are reaching their Web sites.
