Prinova Helps Sun Life Financial Capture Top Honors

Press release from the issuing company

Toronto, Ontario - Prinova Inc., a leader in innovative software, document design, development, and delivery solutions, today announced its client, Sun Life Financial, received top honors from the Canadian Marketing Association (CMA) for its statement redesign, titled "my statement." Sun Life Financial was awarded the association's Lettermail Award: Customer Direct Communications trophy, which recognizes organizations that have made a significant commitment to improving their customer communications through the design of their customer statement, bill, or invoice. Sun Life Financial engaged Prinova to design a statement that made it possible for plan members to receive a clear and concise snapshot of their plan and allow plan sponsors to take advantage of the statement as a valuable communication touchpoint. Utilizing Prinova's web-based, multi-channel software, messagepoint, Sun Life Financial can now deliver personalized statements that are easy-to-read, engaging, informative, cost effective, and relevant to the reader.

"We were very proud to have been chosen by Sun Life Financial to help them develop this award-winning member statement," said Nick Romano, president of Prinova. "Sun Life Financial's my statement is a great advancement in transforming customer statements into a key touch point that educates and informs members on something as important as retirement savings."

Prinova's messagepoint is the first true multi-channel software solution for managing campaign and message content. The software also streamlines the messaging workflow allowing business users to easily plan, create, target, approve, deliver, and track campaigns through a single, web-based product. Sun Life Financial's new group retirement and savings plan statement incorporated Prinova's messagepoint as well as  direct input from plan members, sponsors and advisors, as well as international best practices, resulting in a number of key features:

- A first-page summary of information which plan members value most, organized in distinct areas, personalized for each individual (plan balances, rates of return, investment mix)
- Clear, informative visuals and graphics
- Easy-to-read and meaningful language and explanations

The award was announced at the CMA's annual award gala held November 28, 2008 in Toronto. The ceremony recognized outstanding marketing campaigns from the past year, including efforts that produced top-notch measurable results and broke creative barriers.
