Fujifilm Selects GOprinter as eBusiness Service Provider

ITASCA, Ill., In an effort to put the power of the Internet to work for Fujifilm, its dealers and their customers, the Graphic Systems Division of Fuji Photo Film U.S.A., Inc. announces a new partnership with GOprinter, Inc. and the development of an online Fujifilm Solution Center. The online Fujifilm Solution Center will consist of two main components an eCatalog of products and consumables and an electronic imaging equipment configurator Ç and will be supported and hosted by GOprinter, an application service provider (ASP) that builds, hosts and maintains eBusiness solutions for sellers of printing supplies, equipment and paper products. The eCatalog will include a complete listing of the all the products and consumables Ç from the FINALPROOF digital proofer and the Saber platesetter to the HQ film series and Brillia plates Çoffered by Fujifilm's Graphic Systems Division. Each item will have accompanying information and images as well as custom pricing information and item numbers for easy ordering. In addition to the eCatalog, the Solution Center will also feature an electronic imaging equipment configurator, which will assist dealers and customers in understanding exactly what components are required for the complete configuration and installation of each piece of equipment. With the upcoming introduction of the Solution Center, Fujifilm is planning to establish an online initiative to aid the 25 Fujifilm dealers across the country as well as their customers. "We are extremely committed to our dealer base and believe that the Fujifilm Solution Center will be an important tool in helping them serve their customers," said Dan Maffeo, vice president and general manager of Fujifilm Graphic Systems Division. "Fuji's decision to begin building the Solution Center validates their belief that Internet based solutions can reduce costs and improve efficiency in existing business processes," said Greg Howell, president and CEO of GOprinter. "Our technology and ASP model will allow them to implement state-of-the-art technology quickly while maintaining focus on their core business objectives." The overall aim of the Fujifilm Solution Center is to streamline the request for proposal (RFP) process. Additionally, the Solution Center will provide Fuji dealers with web-based applications that will allow them to better service their customers. As products are updated and new ones are introduced, there are often changes in item numbers and product descriptions. The Solution Center will ensure that dealers will have the most up-to-date product catalog, making the RFP and ordering processes much easier and more efficient. The Fujifilm Solution Center will be made available to all of Fujifilm's 25 dealers and will be able to be integrated into their existing web site. Dealers' and their customers will then be able to access the Solution Center through each dealer's site. "This solution will help Fujifilm strengthen relationships with their dealers," said Howell. "They are providing them with a great foundation upon which they can easily build."
