Pictorial Offset Attracts over 100 Graphic Designers and Print-buyers to Pictorial University

Press release from the issuing company

Carlstadt, NJ – May 31, 2005 – On May 19, 2005, Pictorial Offset Corporation held its semi-annual educational day for the 8th year in a row and attracted over 100 designers and print buyers from the greater New York metropolitan area.  The day was packed with useful educational presentations on a variety of subjects and ended with some interesting personal tips on how to survive and thrive by balancing “tensions”.  The seminar attendees heard morning sessions on “DesignWorks: Designing to Get Noticed” in which Sun Chemical Corporation explored new technologies and features utilizing UV coatings; “PlanetWorks: Insuring the Future” addressed environmental stewardship issues and opportunities from the Rainforest Alliance and Mohawk Paper Mills; “BrandWorks: New Technologies for Brand Consistency” was highlighted by Superior Printing Ink Corporation and explained trends and movements in the printing industry affecting corporate brands.  After a lively lunch break, a heartfelt presentation from the International Medical Corps on global efforts for relief for the Tsunami victims was followed by a special session on “LifeWorks: How to Operate at Peak Performance” by renowned motivational speaker Joe Healey. According to Donald Samuels, Managing Partner of Pictorial Offset Corporation and host of the event,  “This is an opportunity for us to share what we’ve learned in the last six months with our customers and hear of their experiences too.  Some of these new and developing technologies will become mainstream and some will not.  But by exploring the emerging trends and capabilities of new products, processes, equipment and services with our customers, we can discover the value and benefit of these new offerings to our customers and their brands’ communication needs.”  Samuels went on to say, “it’s intrinsically valuable and strategic to host these events.  We are able to get the people to look up from the immediate jobs that they are doing and look into the future – to ponder the directions that the industry and the world as a whole is taking, and learn from each other what can contribute to making more valuable relationships and making relationships more valuable.” Pictorial Offset Corporation offers the educational sessions in the fall and the spring of each year with the next Pictorial University scheduled for late October 2005.
