Standard Register and Lawson Software Form Marketing Alliance
Press release from the issuing company
DAYTON, Ohio--July 29, 2003--Standard Register has finalized a formal marketing alliance with Lawson Software, a provider of business process software solutions developed and designed to serve the needs of service organizations in the healthcare, retail, professional services, public sector, and financial services markets.
Under the terms of this agreement, Standard Register will provide complementary software solutions to allow customers to produce and automate secure documents in a more efficient and cost-effective manner.
With Standard Register's "distributed output management" products - LinkUp, LinkUp Enterprise, and Patient LinkUp Enterprise - Lawson customers can streamline the production and automation of financial and healthcare-related documents received from Lawson's software system(s) to securely manage the document automation and output process across the entire enterprise.
For financial documents, more than 4,000 companies use Standard Register's LinkUp Enterprise (LUE) to manage printing of their payroll and accounts payable checks securely, across the enterprise. For Lawson Software Payables customers, LUE provides the ability to handle a wide variety of document-output-management tasks where the ability to print secure documents remotely and securely is of critical importance.
"From print to digital, Standard Register solutions help companies increase efficiency, reduce costs, enhance security and strengthen customer loyalty," said Peter Dorsman, Standard Register executive vice president and chief operating officer. "Our alliance with Lawson provides organizations with new ways to operate."
In addition, many Lawson Software healthcare customers are already utilizing Standard Register's Patient LinkUp Enterprise (PLUE) and Forms-On-Demand Library solutions to streamline the patient admissions process within hospitals. PLUE is the migration link between paper-intensive processes and electronic medical records. It is a flexible and scalable document-automation solution that simplifies and digitizes institutions' processes.
For Lawson Software's healthcare customers, PLUE provides a fully automated patient admissions process, standardized workflow, patient identification and, above all, improved patient care.
"Lawson has always been committed to using advanced technologies to solve our customers' real business problems and give them a competitive advantage," said Phil Cullen, Lawson Software's Vice President of Quality and Global Product Alliances. "This alliance with Standard Register provides our financial and healthcare customers with yet another weapon in the war to reduce costs and streamline their business processes through enhanced document automation."
