PEAK Wins Award from Intermec for Highest Revenue, Systems Partner

Press release from the issuing company

Columbia, Maryland (July 17, 2003) -- Intermec has announced that for the third straight year they have presented PEAK Technologies with an award as the systems partner that has generated the most revenue. Announced at Intermec’s recent annual partner conference, the award is titled Outstanding Systems Partner, Highest Revenue. “PEAK has been one of our most successful systems partners for the past several years and, even in a tight economy, has maintained a compounded growth rate of 16% over the last four years,” said Rod Crane, Intermec vice president of channel partner sales. “This award recognizes that extraordinary achievement.” PEAK Technologies is an international systems integrator focusing on enterprise printing and data collection, mobile computing, and on-going service and support. Intermec is a global leader in the development, manufacture, and integration of automated data collection and mobile computing systems. “One of the secrets to PEAK’s success, in my opinion, is the fact that they have a strong organization across North America and Europe that is dedicated to meeting the needs of manufacturing and distribution organizations with a national or global focus,” said Tom Miller, executive vice president for Intermec. “While nearly all other systems integrators in this market are regional in scope, PEAK has the ability to offer, configure, implement and service a solution that is consistent across the country and around the world. This capability substantially reduces the cost and risks involved in implementing AIDC across multiple facilities.” PEAK also has the largest independent service organization in North America specializing in laser, matrix and thermal printers, forms handling equipment and depot repair of barcode and auto ID products. “When PEAK and Intermec team together to meet customer needs, the result is a powerful solution that delivers a sustainable return on investment to our customers”, said Adrian Thomas, president and chief executive officer of PEAK Technologies. “The data collection and printing solutions we provide to our customers are further enhanced by the strong partnership that exists between our two companies”, added Thomas. “PEAK and Intermec have always had the strongest possible relationship at the executive level and this tight bond has been another factor in PEAK’s outstanding sales performance,” Crane said. “Working together, we are continually developing strategies that move us beyond the situation where we are simply fulfilling customer demand to one where we are proactively identifying opportunities. This shows our joint customers how they can improve the efficiency of their operations through the use of AIDC technologies. As just one example, PEAK’s sales and service team are the leaders in providing all of the hardware and software needed to provide mobile access to corporate applications such as enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems provided by SAP and Oracle. PEAK also has tremendous expertise in the fast-growing market of providing wireless solutions to private fleet and logistics companies.”
