Santa Ana, CA - July 25, 2003 - Duplo has joined the HP Impressions Road Show, a fully loaded digital print shop on wheels. Duplo’s DC-545HC Cutter/Creaser/Slitter, DBM-80H Bookletmaker & Trimmer, and EZ Book Tabletop Bookletmaker will be featured in this nationwide event.
The road show, which began in September 2002, conveniently brings demos directly to customers and is aimed at educating and promoting the benefits of digital publishing and finishing solutions. According to HP, the truck tour is mainly targeted toward printers, graphic design agencies, corporate enterprises and paper manufacturers.
“I think it's a great concept to bring the demo to the customer’s site, especially since many companies are cutting back on the expense of sending their representatives to trade shows. This truck tour allows customers to see what's new in the market without the costly expense of hotels and airfare,” said Mimi Palomo, Duplo’s National Accounts Manager.
According to HP, at less than the halfway point, the road show has reached an estimated 2,000 visitors from 500 companies in 25 cities and has received phenomenal acceptance. In order to meet the ongoing demand from customers, a second truck was added this May to tour the Southern and Eastern regions of the U.S.
With variable output increasing in popularity, Duplo’s on-demand finishing solution, the DC-545HC Cutter/Creaser/Slitter, is the perfect complement to any full bleed, digitally printed document. The DC-545HC is able to cut, crease, and slit business cards, post cards, greeting cards, and more all in one pass while maintaining set integrity.
Duplo products are currently in Truck #2 and will eventually be in Truck#1 as well. Duplo encourages everyone in the printing industry to take advantage of this extraordinary event. A HP Impressions Road Show calendar is available on HP’s website (www.hp.com/go/indigo) for a listing of upcoming stops.
